Create an energetic and engaging Kids Channel tv bumper that would appeal to children and reveal the stations logo during the clip. We had control over how the bumper would look and the 3D elements we would include.
Create an energetic and engaging Kids Channel tv bumper that would appeal to children and reveal the stations logo during the clip. We had control over how the bumper would look and the 3D elements we would include.
I wanted to create a bright commercial with fun shapes and colours that would brighten your day to watch, while also promoting one of YTV's upcoming shows.
Using Cinema 4D I would make three tornados that were made of stars and more stars flew out while they spun around each other. As a throwback to the old YTV commercials I grew up with, I wanted the logo to come in a squish the tornados. As the stars fall I would use After Effects to add in the promoted show and additional information.
It's awesome when a creative idea comes together and works out. I was able to create exactly the video I had storyboarded and I loved how everything came out, but unfortunately technology would prove to be my downfall. I hadn't planned for Cinema 4D to take more then a day to render out my video, but this would turn out to be one of the largest renders I have created.
After gathering the remaining assets I needed for this project I made a tough decision and ended the render before it could finish. I knew I could trim the video and render out way quicker with less physics for my computer to worry about.
I had a lot of fun creating this project. It was bright, colourful and above all, cheerful. It may not have turned out exactly how I planned but I'm proud of how I was able to adapt my plan and still reach my goal.
